７月、夏休み間近の４日間、玉川学園小学部の３年生のお子様へ宝石石けんのワークショプをさせていただきました。
一度にこんなにたくさんのお子様へレッスンするのは初めてだったので、ドキドキでしたが、みんな、とってもかわいくて、素直で、指示通りに作業を進めてくれたので、とても楽しい時間でした。それもこれも、そこで２０年英語の先生を務めているErica Hendrixさんに、ご縁をいただき、そして色々とお手伝い頂き、実現したもの、大変感謝しています。彼女の先生っぷりに惚れ惚れしてしまった私です！先生ってすごい！
ここから近い未来に世界へ羽ばたくお子様方が育っていくのだと思うと、先生というのは偉大な仕事だなぁとしみじみ感じました。
In July, just before summer break, I had workshop at Tamagawa Gakuen elementary school. I had 2 groups of 16 kids to teach Gem soap making. It was first time for me to give lesson to such a big group of kids, and i was little nurvous, but glad I could make it. Moreover, It had so much fun! Kids were all lovely and keen, and followed my instruction well. Not only that, Ms.Erica Hendrix, who is teaching there for 20 years as an English teacher, she gave me great support that made me achieve this time of workshop. She is the person who brought me this opportunity, and I really really appreciate for that too!
I was looking at her dealing with students, and thought Job as a tacher is tough, but really important.Children are like a sponge, they absorb from people, environment, experience...etc. and I believe teacher could make greart diffrerence to children's life. Ms. Erica, I saw was a well-experoienced great teacher!!
